Uptick in National and Florida High School Graduation Rates
The nation’s annual graduation rate data was recently released. Overall and with a new all-time high, 84.6 percent of students are graduating from U.S. public high schools. That number represents a half-point increase when compared to the prior year. The increase in Florida was 1.6% (from 80.7% to 82.3%)
Nationwide students with disabilities show a 1.6 percent increase. The 2016-2017 school year data comes from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Broken down by state, NCES details state-reported graduation outcomes of students (link below).
